The flight last night went smoothly. We were actually quite early landing, but because the gate was occupied we were only a little bit early to the terminal. But any early is good.
Our checked bags were a bit slow to the baggage claim, or maybe we were faster getting there. But our stuff made it too.

This morning we started the day with breakfast at the York cottage. On the menu was "eat all the leftovers". It's good to fill up for a day of travel.
We went to the in-laws' house and had lunch. My father-in-law and I returned the rental car, and returned to their house. He sang and played music on his new ukulele. That was nice.

This morning, we slept late and enjoyed a relaxed early part of the day.
In the early evening we went to the in-laws' house and had a nice dinner of fish with cheese.
Later in the evening we returned to the York cottage and again took it easy.

Rather than try to find a way to get to the cottage we rented in York, we spent the night at the in-laws' house. "J" and I slept late.
When we eventually woke up, we had breakfast with the in-laws.
J's father drove me to a car rental shop that had been good to deal with last time we were in Maine. The people in the office were great this time too ( Read more... )

Our flight went well. Aboard, I watched the Harry Potter prequel film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which was pretty good.
Although we left Seattle late, we arrived early in Boston.

This morning, we woke early, and did a lot of final packing.
My father gave us a ride to the airport, which was really nice. Even if the traffic wasn't as bad as airport traffic can be, and we had the carpool lane in our favor, he would have been driving home solo, in the regular lanes.

Early this afternoon, "J" had a work-out appointment. I gave her a ride there and ran an errand of my own: returning four boxes of the reject floorboards to the box store. It went really smoothly.
